Our inspiration
As events caused the whole world to slow down last year, our founder, Jo, found time to appreciate the beauty in the everyday:
"This collection was brought to life during the first lockdown of the pandemic - one of the most exceptional times in a generation. It was a period that helped us to reflect on our busy lives while adjusting to a quieter, and for many, a simpler existence.
I watched the birds in our garden build nests and found a renewed interest in nurturing seeds into a small kitchen garden.
The Good Life was calling me and the next Kite collection felt destined to absorb this inspiration!"
Special colours
Each season, Jo starts the design process by curating a coordinated colour palette that provides the building blocks for the collection.
These carefully selected and beautiful colours complement each other and provide so many mix and match opportunities across our styles.
In this collection you'll find woodland inspired greens, autumnal shades of yellow and many neutral hues, all combining to create this fabulous range.
Perfect prints
We then lovingly bring our ideas to life through our range of gorgeous prints.
Each hand-drawn design, created with passion and care, tells a story. There's sure to be a print for everyone.

The good life
When you look out of your window and into your garden there's a whole world to discover.
As the cat plays and the birds swoop, apples ripen slowly in front of your eyes and vegetables sprout from the ground.
This neutral print takes notice of these things, and encourages us to try and live a slower and more self-sustaining lifestyle.
Happy veg
Say hello to our happy veg. Have you ever seen a smiley sweetcorn? Or perhaps a chirpy chilli?
These seasonal smiling veg make a cheerful and vibrant print that certainly stands out from the crowd.
Home ditsy
Begonias and Winter Aconites are seasonal bulbs that flower in autumn and winter, and are also the inspiration behind our home ditsy print.
Symbolising gratitude, hope and new beginnings, there's more to these beautiful blooms than meets the eye.
Fox and squirrel
A woodland friendship that we just love is that of our bushy-tailed friends, the fox and the squirrel.
Imagining them playing hide and seek in the garden and foraging for food became the inspiration behind this contemporary baby print.
Tyre trail
Set off on a farmyard adventure with our tyre trail print. From tractors and trucks to diggers and wheelbarrows, these vehicles are all lots of help on a small farm.

Nature watch
From tree-climbing squirrels to leisurely snails, which nature trail buddies can you spot?
This seasonal ochre yellow print is simple and stunning and features across designs for boys and girls alike.
Rainbow apple
Apples come in a variety of sizes and colours, so why not a rainbow apple?
Whether you like to eat them straight off the tree or bake them in a tasty Dorset apple cake (a favourite here at Kite), apples are one of our favourite fruits of the season.
Prairie
This floral print with a vintage feel is so special.
Inspired by the timeless tale of The Little House on the Prairie, our print embodies the beauty of a rural lifestyle, spending time making homespun quilts and enjoying patchwork projects.
Animal ramble
Rambling through the woods, who knows what you might see... a snoozing fox? A hibernating hedgehog?
We love going on woodland walks and looking out for our animal friends. There's also nothing yummier than a hand-picked blackberry!
