Sustainability in every stitch
At Kite, we are passionate about protecting the planet and its people, and sustainability has been at the heart of our production processes since the very beginning in 2007 when our founder Jo launched our first range with the tagline ‘planet-friendly kit’.
Since those early days we have remained true to our word, producing garments that respect the planet that our children will inherit, and spreading the message that it is possible to produce beautiful clothing in a responsible way.
Every piece we create reflects this commitment, combining style, durability and a conscience.
Join us in making a positive impact - one garment at a time.

Our commitment
Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us, it's at the heart of everything we do.
All our garments are made from organic cotton, recycled plastic bottles or sustainable wood pulp, and we only use non-hazardous dyes to prevent toxic chemicals from harming the environment.
We also work to minimise our impact across the supply chain, using 100% recycled and recyclable packaging, and only shipping from suppliers to our warehouse by sea or road, achieving zero air miles since 2022.
Everyone matters
Our commitment goes beyond caring for the planet – for us it's about looking after its people too. Each year, independent audits ensure that every worker in our supply chain enjoys clean and safe working conditions, works reasonable hours, and receives a fair wage. We stand firm against discrimination, harassment, and violence, and none of our factories employ child or forced labour.
We have worked with each of our suppliers for more than ten years and are proud to call them both our partners and our friends. Jo and Roger, our MD, visit our factory partners twice a year to maintain and strengthen these long-standing relationships which are built on shared values and a mutual commitment to creating the best and most responsibly sourced clothing possible.

Meaningful certification
We're certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the leading worldwide standard for organic textiles. This accreditation is recognised as the gold standard for environmental and ethical production and isn't easy to get - companies must meet strict environmental and social criteria to achieve it.
Every step of our supply chain, from the field to the factory, has been thoroughly and independently inspected to ensure it meets these high standards. This means that you can buy from us with confidence knowing that you're making a choice that is genuinely better for the planet and its people.
Circular solutions
At Kite, creating circular solutions is a big part of our sustainability journey.
We’ve always believed that the most responsible thing we can do as a brand is to make great quality clothes that can be worn and washed again and again (and again).
Our customers often tell us they’re able to pass down Kite outfits multiple times because the fabric and colours stay looking nearly as good as new.
We’re excited to partner with thelittleloop and participate in the RELOOP take-back scheme, an innovative, easy and practical way to give Kite garments a new lease of life.
